Welcome to TruVest. By using our mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using TruVest ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

TruVest is a portfolio tracking and investor community platform that allows users to:

• Track investment portfolios across African and global markets
• Access real-time and delayed market data from multiple exchanges
• Participate in an investor community (posts, comments, follows)
• Use educational resources including a video academy, podcasts, and investing dictionary
• Practice trading with simulated funds (paper trading)
• Receive AI-powered portfolio insights and analysis

3. Not Financial Advice

TruVest does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All information provided through the App, including AI-generated insights, market data, community posts, and educational content, is for informational purposes only. You should consult a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

5. Subscription & Payments

TruVest offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription. By subscribing to Pro:

• You authorize recurring charges at the stated price ($1.99/month or local equivalent)
• Your subscription automatically renews each billing cycle until cancelled
• You may cancel at any time from within the App; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and payment processor policies
• A 5-day free trial is available for new subscribers

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing
• Share misleading financial information or engage in market manipulation
• Impersonate other users or entities
• Use automated bots or scrapers to access the service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data

7. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you create on TruVest. By posting content, you grant TruVest a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the App. TruVest may remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Market Data Disclaimer

Market data is provided by third-party sources and may be delayed. TruVest does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any market data. Real-time data availability varies by exchange and subscription level.

9. AI Features Disclaimer

AI-powered features (including Ask TruVest AI) use large language models that may produce inaccurate or incomplete information. AI responses should not be treated as financial advice. Always verify AI-generated information independently.

10. Paper Trading

Paper trading uses simulated money and does not involve real transactions. Past paper trading performance does not guarantee future results with real investments.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TruVest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or investment losses arising from your use of the App.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, specifically the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and other applicable regulations.
