Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, accessing, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Important Financial and Platform Disclosures

TruVest is an information, education, community, portfolio-visibility, and market-data platform. TruVest is not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, portfolio manager, custodian, exchange, execution venue, bank, or provider of personalized investment advice.

TruVest does not:

execute, route, settle, or clear trades
hold, custody, control, or transfer your money or securities
receive your brokerage credentials
guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or suitability of market data, news, AI insights, community content, portfolio information, or other content on the Service; or
recommend that you buy, sell, hold, or refrain from buying, selling, or holding any investment.

Nothing on the Service is financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, or other professional advice. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of all or part of your investment. Past performance, portfolio returns, dividends, rankings, community posts, and AI-generated insights do not guarantee future results.

You should obtain advice from appropriately qualified and licensed professionals before making investment decisions.

Eligibility

You may use the Service only if:

you are at least 18 years old
you can legally enter into a binding agreement
you are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
you provide accurate and complete account information; and
your use complies with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

The Service may be unavailable or restricted in certain countries, regions, or circumstances. TruVest may restrict or suspend access where necessary for legal, compliance, security, operational, or risk-management reasons.

Your Account and Security

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating and maintaining your account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity conducted through your account.

You must promptly notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We may suspend or secure an account where we reasonably believe there is unauthorized use, fraud, a security risk, or a breach of these Terms.

Brokerage Connections and Connected Data

The Service may allow you to connect eligible third-party brokerage or financial accounts through a third-party connection provider or by redirecting you to a broker’s application or authorization flow.

When you choose to connect an account:

you authorize the applicable connection provider and broker to handle the connection according to their own terms and privacy notices
TruVest does not receive, store, or request your broker login credentials
any account, holdings, positions, balances, transactions, dividend, or related data made available to TruVest through an authorized connection may be used only to provide the connected features you choose, subject to our Privacy Policy
connected data may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, inaccurate, or cease to be available
TruVest does not control the availability, accuracy, security, or functionality of any broker or connection provider; and
you may disconnect an eligible account through the Service or relevant connection-provider process.

A connection does not authorize TruVest to trade, transfer assets, or act on your behalf. Any trading decision or transaction takes place solely through the relevant broker or other third party, subject to that party’s terms.

Private-by-Default Portfolio Sharing

Your connected portfolio information is private by default.

You may choose to share selected portfolio details, performance information, earnings, holdings, or related information through the Service. Before sharing, you are responsible for reviewing the visibility settings and confirming what other users may see.

By making information public or sharing it with others, you understand that:

other users may view, copy, discuss, save, share, or act on the information
publicly shared information may remain visible or be reproduced by others even after you change your settings or delete content
portfolio performance may be affected by timing, incomplete information, deposits, withdrawals, taxes, fees, exchange rates, corporate actions, and other factors; and

TruVest does not guarantee that any displayed performance, ranking, or portfolio information is complete, verified, comparable, or suitable for another person.

You must not misrepresent ownership, returns, performance, expertise, credentials, affiliations, compensation, or the source of portfolio information.

Community Content and Conduct

The Service may allow you to post, comment, react, follow, link to external content, and otherwise communicate with other users (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, by posting or sharing User Content through the Service, you grant TruVest a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt for technical formatting, and otherwise use that User Content as necessary to operate, improve, promote, and provide the Service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to post your User Content and that it does not violate any law or the rights of another person.

You must not use the Service to:

impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, affiliation, portfolio, performance, or investment experience
post deceptive, fraudulent, manipulative, misleading, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or unlawful content
promote scams, unregistered investment schemes, market manipulation, insider trading, pump-and-dump activity, or other unlawful conduct
publish personalized investment advice, solicit investments, operate an unlicensed advisory or brokerage activity, or make guarantees of returns
post investment-related content without clearly disclosing material conflicts of interest, including holdings, compensation, sponsorships, referral benefits, or other financial interests where relevant
publish another person’s personal, financial, account, or confidential information without permission
infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
distribute spam, malware, harmful code, or unauthorized advertising; or
use automated means to scrape, crawl, extract, or interfere with the Service without our written permission.

TruVest may, but is not required to, monitor, review, remove, limit, label, or disable access to User Content or accounts. We may take these actions when we reasonably believe content or conduct breaches these Terms, creates risk, violates law, harms users, or threatens the integrity of the Service.

Community content reflects the views of its author, not TruVest. TruVest does not endorse, verify, or adopt User Content.

AI-Generated Insights

The Service may provide AI-generated summaries, explanations, educational content, or general insights (“AI Insights”).

AI Insights are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not personalized investment advice, a recommendation, an offer, or a solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security or other asset.

AI Insights may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You must independently evaluate all information and should not rely on AI Insights as the sole basis for a financial decision.

Do not submit confidential information, broker credentials, or information you do not have the right to share into any AI feature. Your use of AI features is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

Market Data, News, Video, and Third-Party Content

The Service may display or link to market data, prices, corporate information, news, educational material, videos, and content from third parties.

Third-party content is provided for convenience and information only. TruVest does not control, endorse, or guarantee it. Market data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. You must verify information independently before acting on it.

Links to third-party websites, brokers, platforms, video services, or applications are governed by those third parties’ terms and privacy policies. TruVest is not responsible for third-party services or content.

Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Payments

Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription.

If you begin a free trial, you will receive the trial period shown at the time of sign-up. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription may automatically renew and you may be charged the applicable subscription price shown before purchase.

For subscriptions purchased through Apple’s App Store or Google Play:

payment, billing, cancellation, refunds, and renewal are handled by Apple or Google, as applicable
you must manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple or Google account settings, unless the Service clearly provides another permitted method
Apple’s or Google’s terms may also apply; and
the price, billing period, trial duration, included features, and renewal terms displayed in the purchase flow form part of your subscription agreement.

TruVest may change subscription prices or features on notice where permitted by applicable law and store rules. Any price change will take effect no earlier than your next renewal period unless otherwise required or permitted by law.

Except where required by law or applicable store policy, subscription payments are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer cancellation, refund, or other rights that apply to you.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, databases, and other content owned by TruVest or its licensors, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, TruVest grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, decompile, create derivative works from, or exploit any part of the Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

“TruVest” and related names, logos, and marks are trademarks or trade names of Truvest Tech Inc. or its licensors. You may not use them without written permission.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, protect, and retain personal information, including connected-account data, analytics data, marketing preferences, and account information.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in Canada, Germany, and other countries where TruVest or its service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and the Privacy Policy.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting [email protected], subject to legal, security, and record-retention requirements described in our Privacy Policy.

TruVest may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to the Service if we reasonably believe that you:

breached these Terms
created legal, regulatory, security, fraud, or reputational risk
used the Service in a harmful or deceptive way; or
must be restricted to comply with law or a request from a regulator, court, broker, connection provider, app store, or other authorized party.

Termination does not affect provisions that by their nature should continue, including intellectual-property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

TRUVEST DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. TRUVEST DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, TIMELINESS, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY MARKET DATA, CONNECTED DATA, PORTFOLIO DISPLAY, LEADERBOARD, AI INSIGHT, NEWS ITEM, VIDEO, USER CONTENT, OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUVEST DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TruVest and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, investments, goodwill, data, opportunities, or business interruption arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TruVest’s total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

the amount you paid TruVest for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer-protection rights.

Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless TruVest and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your User Content, unlawful use of the Service, or breach of these Terms.

Changes to the Service or Terms

TruVest may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service. We may also update these Terms from time to time.

If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email, or another appropriate method. If you continue using the Service after the updated Terms take effect, you agree to them. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

You and TruVest agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, except where the mandatory law of your country, state, or province of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in another forum.

TruVest is offered to users in many countries, and nothing in this section removes the consumer-protection, privacy, or other rights of the place where you live that cannot legally be waived.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact TruVest at [email protected] and give us a reasonable opportunity to try to resolve the issue informally.

App Store Terms

If you download the Service from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, you acknowledge that Apple and Google are not responsible for providing support or maintenance for the Service except as required by their respective terms.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Apple and Google, and their respective subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce provisions that relate to your use of the app.

Your use of the app must comply with the applicable app-store terms and policies.

General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any terms presented to you for a specific feature, form the entire agreement between you and TruVest regarding the Service.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. TruVest’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. TruVest may transfer its rights and obligations as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
