Accessibility Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
Truvest Tech Inc. is committed to giving everyone the same chance to use TruVest, including people with disabilities. This policy explains what we do and how to reach us when something does not work for you.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at Level AA in our mobile apps and on our website. Accessibility is part of how we design and test new features, not something added afterwards.
What the app supports
- Screen readers: VoiceOver on iPhone and TalkBack on Android. Buttons say what they do, and counts such as likes and comments are read out.
- Text size: the app follows the text size set on your phone, up to 130 percent.
- Reduce motion: when it is on in your phone, animations in the app stop.
- Dark mode, which you can choose in Settings under Feed and markets.
- Captions: shown by default on videos that have them. Videos only play when you start them.
- Text contrast that meets the WCAG AA minimum in both light and dark mode.
- Buttons with a touch area of at least 44 by 44 points.
- Gains and losses shown with a plus or minus sign as well as colour.
Keeping it that way
We check new screens with VoiceOver and TalkBack, at large text sizes and in both light and dark mode before they ship. If something slips through, tell us and we will fix it.
Tell us about a problem
If something in TruVest is hard or impossible for you to use, we want to know. You can reach us in either of these ways:
- In the app: Settings, then Accessibility, then Report an accessibility problem. A real person reads every message.
- By email: [email protected]. Use this if you cannot use the app at all.
We acknowledge every accessibility message, usually within 2 hours and always within 2 business days, and we tell you what we will do about it. If you need this policy or any of our documents in another format, such as large print or plain text, ask us at the same address and we will provide it at no cost.
Training and review
Everyone who builds or supports TruVest learns about accessibility and about the AODA. We review this policy and the accessibility of the app at least once a year and after any major change to the app.
